Olive Garden's pasta passes once again sold out almost immediately Thursday.
This undated photo provided by Olive Garden shows their new annual pasta pass, top, and their eight weeks of unlimited access pasta pass. The passes go on sale starting at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at www.PastaPass.com. (Olive Garden via AP) (AP) |
Olive Garden fans took the internet to order cards to give them unlimited access to the restaurant's never-ending pasta bowls for eight weeks for $100, with a limited pass for annual access for $300.
The annual pass version sold out in just seconds, but the 8-week passes were close behind.
The Orlando-based restaurant chain tweaked its once-a-year sales frenzy with a year-long pass this year for $300, but only offered it to 1,000 people.
Still, both 1,000 year-long passes and the 23,000 eight-week passes sold out fast through www.pastapass.com, leaving customers delighted and disappointed on social media.

how is it possible that all 23,000 pasta passes were bought in less than a second, what kind of chicanery is this?
